Absolutely loved your take on Itaewon. I was stationed in Seoul from October 1999 to June 2001. I was the Army at the time. Your writing on that was spot on.
Thank you so much, Matthew. I don’t update this blog very regularly anymore, but I really appreciate your comment. Itaewon has changed even more since I wrote this. Gecko’s and Seoul Pub are gone now and they were two of the last holdouts.
